MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Storage Systems Administrator supporting CIS, you willoperate, maintain, and secure enterprise storage platforms across globally distributed, multinetwork environments. You will ensure high availability, data integrity, and reliable access to storage services, while supporting modernization, security, and lifecycle initiatives. Your work strengthens system resilience, enhances performance, and enables critical mission operations that depend on fast, secure, and consistent data access. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Administer,operate, andmaintainenterprise storage systems, including SAN, NAS, object storage, and backup/replication technologies across physical, virtual, andcloud connectedenvironmentsMonitor storage performance, health, capacity, and availability, performing diagnostics, tuning, and remediation to ensureoptimalservice deliverySupport data backup, recovery, replication, anddisaster recoveryoperations,validatingscheduled jobs and ensuring data resilience across multiple networksManage storage provisioning, access controls, share permissions, and user/group mappings tomaintainsecure and compliant data accessTroubleshootstorage relatedissues involving connectivity, protocols, access, hardware dependencies, and integration with compute, virtualization, and network servicesPerform lifecycle tasks including firmware updates, configuration changes, performance improvements, and operational maintenance of storage infrastructureCoordinate with engineering, cybersecurity, server, virtualization, and monitoring teams to integrate new capabilities, support technology refresh, andmaintainsecure, reliable storage operationsMaintain documentation, SOPs, storage diagrams, and operational artifacts supporting sustainment, change control, and continuous improvementApply security patches, firmware updates, and platform hotfixes across storage systems, ensuringtimelycompliance with enterprise security baselines and configuration standardsIdentifyand remediate noncompliant storage components by reviewing vulnerability and compliance reports, addressing patching failures, andvalidatingcorrective actions across assigned environmentsWHAT YOULL NEED TO SUCCEEDEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Storage DirectorySystems Administrator Senior - Requires a Bachelors degree in an ITrelated field or 8+ years of relevant IT experience in lieu of a degree.Storage DirectorySystems Administrator Principal- Requires a Bachelors degree in an ITrelated field or 10+ years of relevant IT experience in lieu of a degree.CLEARANCE: Active TS/SCI clearance with a favorable polygraphCERTIFICATION: Meet DoD 8140 Information Assurance Workforce certification requirements (e.g. Security+ CE, etc.)Hands on experience administering enterprise storage platforms (e.g., SAN/NAS, clustered storage, backup/replication systems) in complex, multinetwork environmentsStrongproficiencywith storage provisioning, permissions/security management, troubleshooting, and performance tuningExperience implementing secure configuration practices, storage hardening, and compliance with enterprise security requirementsFamiliarity with patching, firmware updates, vulnerability remediation, and configuration compliance processesAbility to diagnose and resolve complex storage, access, replication, and performance issues across distributed infrastructureStrong documentation, communication, andcross teamcollaboration skillsUS citizenship requiredLOCATION: Onsite GDIT IS YOUR PLACE At GDIT, the mission is our purpose, and our people are at the center of everything we do.Growth: AI-powered career tool that identifies career steps and learning opportunitiesSupport: An internal mobility team focused on helping you achieve your career goalsRewards: Comprehensive benefits and wellness packages, 401K with company match, and competitive pay and paid time offCommunity: Award-winning culture of innovation and a military-friendly workplaceOWN YOUR OPPORTUNITYExplore an enterprise IT career at GDIT and youll find endless opportunities to grow alongside colleagues who share your desire to drive operations forward. #CIS
